The Valley of the Ironworks: a hidden treasure of Amalfi

The Ferriere Valley is one of the most magical and least known places on the Amalfi Coast.

An oasis of unspoiled nature made up of crystal clear streams, waterfalls, prehistoric ferns and old abandoned mills.

Amid the history and unspoiled nature of amalfi

The area’s name comes from the ancient ironworks that once thrived in the valley. These were workshops where iron was forged using water power at the height of the Republic of Amalfi’s commercial dominance. Today, the ruins coexist with lush vegetation, creating an almost fairy-tale landscape.

The nature reserve

The valley is also a state nature reserve and is popular with hikers, botanists, and travelers seeking silence and beauty. The constant humidity here allows rare species, such as Woodwardia radicans (a fern dating back to the Tertiary period), to survive.

Our Pizza Class was born in this timeless setting: amid the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, the sound of water, and the warmth of a welcoming family.
